Ryan A. Bucklin, ESQ.


Ryan Bucklin is the Founder of Bucklin Law. Bucklin Law currently has offices in Coldwater and Hillsdale, Michigan. Since 2013, Ryan has focused on assisting clients in a multitude of practice areas to include criminal defense, family law, estate planning/estate administration, dog bite cases, real estate related matters, and a variety of other types of cases too numerous to list. 


Ryan received a J.D. from Thomas Cooley Law School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Cum Laude. His business degree major focused in Finance with a minor focused in General Business studies from Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business.


Ryan was born and raised in Bronson, Michigan and graduated from Bronson High School. Thereafter, he relocated temporarily to further his education. Following college, Ryan moved back to the Branch County area where the majority of his family continues to reside. Ryan and his wife Samantha have three daughters together whom all currently attend Coldwater Schools.


Ryan is very involved in the local community. He has served as the past President of the Noon Exchange Club, served as the past President of the Branch County Bar Association, served on the Advisory Board for Girls on the Run, supported numerous local charities, supported local youth sports by coaching/being one of the current Members of the local BATS youth softball program, and has also regularly supported the local Branch County 4-H Fair youth participants each year. 


Bucklin Law has been recognized and honored as the best law office and best divorce attorneys in Branch County.

Alice M. Nickerson, ESQ.


Alice is a Carson City High School graduate. High school is when Alice developed her passion for the law and helping others. After high school she attended Alma College where she double majored in political science and history. While at Alma she ultimately decided to apply to Cooley Law School. After graduating from law school, she moved to Coldwater where she opened a law firm. Alice practiced law and ran her own firm for 19 years before ultimately deciding to join Bucklin Law in January of 2022.


Alice enjoys spending her free time with her husband Derek, family, and their cat Elizabeth. Alice enjoys the outdoors and loves going up north for vacations.
